Shankara is a magical place where I've worked for nearly 6 years with an extraordinary team. Without them, I couldn't have completed this project.
When naming this property, I wanted to convey happiness, serenity, and longevity. Shankara, in Sanskrit, means bestower of happiness or giver of prosperity, perfectly suiting our vision for Koh Samui.
As an interior designer and architect, I decided to build a family house to welcome friends and guests from all around the globe in a place of gathering designed for serenity and relaxation.
Every detail in Shankara has been thoughtfully designed and implemented with care. Over the past 15 years, I've collected antiques from places in Thailand, China, Burma, Singapore, South Africa, Morocco, and Europe.
We welcome you to our home away from home.

Shankara is a private nine-acre estate set in the heart of Koh Samui, offering a rare sense of space, privacy, and calm. The property blends refined comfort with its natural surroundings, featuring open ocean views, landscaped gardens, and thoughtfully designed villas.
Completed in 2023, each villa is created as a place to truly settle in. Contemporary amenities are combined with Thai materials and detailing, resulting in interiors that feel elegant, relaxed, and quietly inviting.
